These places have roads to them. They are just far enough back that nobody arrives by accident, and the way in has always been the water. You tie up a few steps from the table, eat what came out of the river that morning, and go back the way you came.

Downriver to a family kitchen set back in the trees. Fish soup, then whatever came out of the water that morning.

Three neighbourhood kitchens over an evening, with a former restaurant worker who knows the owners. Getting between them is handled.
The boat
The pasara is the traditional Belgrade river boat. Mine is v-hull, which matters more than it sounds: it cuts through the wake of passing barges instead of slapping over it, so lunch stays where you left it on the way home.
Yamaha 8HP four-stroke, shade, room to move, and 6 guests at most. I am at the tiller the whole way, so ask me anything — about the river, the city, or where the fish came from.
