Back to both trips

Sightseeing cruise on the Sava and Danube

About 90 minutes · 2–6 guests · April to October

The shortest of the three trips, and the one to take if you have an afternoon rather than a day. No restaurant stop, no long lunch, just the rivers, the bridges and the fortress from the water.

Best late in the day. The light drops behind the fortress and the whole waterfront turns colour, which is when Belgrade earns its reputation.

Six guests at most, and the boat is yours for the trip. I am at the tiller the whole way, so ask whatever you like.

Downstream

How the day runs

  1. 10 min

    Boarding

I meet you at the pontoon and help you aboard. Life jackets, a short safety brief, and a look at the map before we leave.

  2. 35 min

    Down the Sava

Past the waterfront and under the bridges, with the city rising on both banks. This is the angle on Belgrade most visitors never see.

  3. 20 min

    The confluence

Below Kalemegdan the Sava runs into the Danube. On a clear day you can see the line where the two waters meet before they mix. We stop here for photographs.

  4. 25 min

    Back upriver

An easy run home to the same pontoon we left from.
